The purpose of the Auxiliary is to assist the Coast Guard To:

  1. Promote safety
  2. Effect rescues on the high seas and on navigable waters
  3. Promote efficiency in the operation of motorboats and yachts.
  4. Foster a wider knowledge of, and better compliance with, the laws, rules, and regulations governing the operation of motorboats and yachts;
  5. Facilitate other operations of the Coast Guard.

A Message from The Flotilla Vice Commander

Mission Statement
The mission of Flotilla 18-11 is to leverage our resources in the most effective manner to deliver a superior level of service to our "customers" which include the United States Coast Guard, our Auxiliary members, and the boating public.

We will focus our efforts in our traditional cornerstones of member services, recreational boating safety, Coast Guard Operations, and fellowship. We will provide additional support in non-traditional roles to the best of our ability.

We will listen to, actively engage, and assist our "customers" in protecting, people, property, and the marine environment while maximizing our support in their prevention, preparedness, and response roles.

Recognizing that our people are our number one resource, we will endeavor to educate, train, develop leadership and management skills at all levels and advance their safety and well being.

We will be committed to the Coast Guard values of:
